    BIO

If nostalgia had a soundtrack, it would be cardiagon.  Washes of atmospheric grandiosity, subtle string quartets, almost-pop-laden vocal melodies, and hauntingly heavy moments all find a cohesive resting place in Orpheus, the debut release from cardiagon.  The album tells one story about living in the tension between the certainty of absolute truth and the difficulty of one’s own experience in the midst of it.  These themes are twisted through various genres, snapshots of memories, and real-life events pulled from family recordings, as cardiagon encourages the listener to step into a sonic world full of intrigue, uncertainty, and hope.

Hailing from Savannah, GA, cardiagon is the musical expression of vocational minister Martin Antoon.  Aside from the occasional guest musician, cardiagon gives full meaning to the term “personal” – the entire process, from beginning to end, is the work of only one person.  There is truly no division between an idea and its cultivation.  The result?  A catalyst for the listener to illuminate his own experience of truth and tension, hope and sorrow.  Enjoy the ride.
